New Christie LX1000 LCD Projector Offers High Performance And Flexibility At 10,000 Lumens

New Product

February 02, 2009 -- DMN Newswire--2009-2-2--

Christie is pleased to announce the Christie LX1000 projector, an exciting new option for AV professionals and rental stagers who require low cost, high performance projection at an industry benchmark of 10,000 lumens. The new Christie LX1000 dual lamp projector combines unique flexibility with uncompromising picture quality and brightness, providing the AV market with a projection solution that is adaptable to more venues than ever before.

"The LX1000 offers flexibility and quality in a cost-effective package. This is a very compelling option for many professionals and rental stagers in the 10,000 lumen market," says product manager Frank Anzures. "To get similar quality, flexibility and performance in the past, those professionals only had the option of high-end, premium performance 3-chip DLP projectors. Now, with the introduction of the Christie LX1000, customers have a cost-effective alternative to currently available products in this lumens range."

In addition to delivering true 10,000 ANSI lumens, the LX1000 produces deep, rich blacks without compromising brightness through its inorganic 3LCD technology; its 10-bit image processing delivers natural color-tone reproduction, top-notch picture stability, and flawless video playback. The inorganic panels also result in less color degradation over time than conventional LCDs and are designed for maximum longevity.

Flexibility is key to AV professionals and rental stagers and the Christie LX1000 delivers. It works with any video format, including SDTV and HDTV, allowing the highest level of detail possible for large-venue projection.  It is operable in either 100-120V or 200-240V environments and is adaptable to a variety of lenses. For the ultimate in flexibility, two LX1000 projectors can be stacked to produce 20,000 lumens. A motorized lens shift and focus feature makes set-up quick and easy.

Recognizing that cost of ownership is a significant consideration for many in the 10,000 lumen market, Christie designed the LX1000 for maximum cost efficiency and low cost of ownership. In addition to the longevity of its inorganic 3LCD panels, the projector includes a 10,000 hour Autofilter system and has a lamp life of up to 3,000 hours; with an optional input card, it can easily network with an existing projector inventory. As always, the LX1000 is backed by Christie's industry-renowned service and support.

"The LX1000 represents a great solution for AV professionals and rental stagers who want flexibility without sacrificing quality," says Anzures. "Now they can have premium quality and brightness while adapting to the various venues they encounter. It's a projector that meets the unique needs of this market in a more complete way than ever before."

The Christie LX1000 will begin shipping in early 2009.
