Dreamer to Present How to "BluTube": Broadcasting Over Broadband to a Blu-ray Player at JavaOne

Dreamer's Technical Session at JavaOne to Focus on Creating Private Interactive TV Broadcasting Channels Utilizing Dreamer's Patented BIDDLE(TM) Technology

May 19, 2009 --

BURBANK, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 05/19/09 -- Dreamer, a leader in interactive TV solutions, announces today that they will be presenting at a Technical Session at the upcoming JavaOne conference. Dreamer's session -- How to "BluTube": Broadcasting over Broadband to a Blu-ray Player, ID#: TS-5035, will focus on how to create and deploy private broadcasting channels which deliver audio, video and interactive applications to TVs, utilizing Dreamer's Java-based BIDDLE technology for Blu-ray.

"We are excited about the opportunity to present the Java developer community with a solution with which they can create their own interactive Blu-ray-to-TV broadcasting channels," said Dr. Won Baek, President and CEO of Dreamer. "Our BIDDLE technology has been successfully utilized by large IPTV companies for several years now, and we are looking forward to the many exciting and creative interactive TV applications the Java developer community will create," added Baek.

During its Technical Session, scheduled for Wednesday, June 3rd, at 4:10 PM, in the North 124 conference room, Dreamer will introduce its BIDDLE technology API for optimizing client resources and application segmentation, as well as a tool for encoding and segmenting content for progressive download to Blu-ray players. An outline of the presentation is available on www.dreamercorp.com. A developer's support portal will be available on www.dreamercorp.com/developer beginning June 3rd, 2009.

The BIDDLE technology is a thin-client solution, and as such it allows an unlimited variety of content -- video, music, games, social networking, advertising and more -- to be managed from the server side, giving broadcasters full control over their content and how it is presented, as well as the flexibility to add, change and remove content at any time. The BIDDLE technology utilizes any Profile 2.0-compliant (BD-Live) broadband-connected Blu-ray player to enable direct-to-TV broadcasting.
